After speaking with Johan, Leza cautiously approaches Bi'rel.
Excuse me, might we have a word?
Bi'rel, not slowing her already slow pace, and without looking up with her cloak hiding her face, controls her obvious labored breathing and her emotions and says,
Please forgive me Leza, I have no excuse for my actions, my life is yours, should you wish me to end it, I will do so now, to myself, as to not further stain your noble calling brave paladin
Leza:
My lady, your life belongs to no one but yourself. Remember that. While I did not like your choice of target I do understand why you did it. Someone unknown came up behind you. You did what you thought was right - just as I did when I came after you. All I was after was to divert your attention from them. I hope you can forgive me
Taken aback Bi'rel pauses,
there never will be the need to forgive any of you, I must learn to contr.....
Bi'rel begins to sob deeply and seemingly uncontrollably.
LEZA:
If you would, I'd be happy to help with your perceived control issues. In my days as a priest, and now as a paladin of Isara, I have learned many meditation techniques. I'd be glad to share them with you
As Bi'rel gains her composure she starts to walk again,
Leza, the control issue is not a lack of control it is learning to subdue myself and place you all before me. I must never fail again, or all hope is lost
Leza:
I might be able to help there as well. I may not be the most experienced paladin but I will do what I can
.
Bi’rel:
You all are the hope Leza, I now know I am here to assist you all to be the only hope for the world
LEZA:
We can help each other. That's the only way we will succeed. We must stand strong together. If we do not that is when we fail. I refuse to fail
Bi'rel stops, hearing the truth from one of the Chosen gives her new hope, she looks at Leza, with tears in her eyes and says,
I will never fail you again
After a few seconds she starts her walk again.
As she gets further away, Leza can hear the crying start again and as she gets further he hers her last fading words,
I will die first
Unsure of whether Bi'rel hears him Leza mutters,
I will die before I fail you
