Sarah was the most beautiful woman that Fred had ever seen, golden hair flowing like rays in at midday, eyes blue, like perfect gems. They walked and talked, and Fred was lost in her gaze, as they walked toward the small village of Rangio, located on the north east coast of lake Demathois. The day was beautiful and things were pleasant, to Fred, everything was perfect, and being so enthralled with what Sarah was saying and her perfect features, Fred did not notice the slight pause in Sarah's steps, but he did hear her say, "The Dark Lord shall rise!" Right before he slipped into the dark portal, his screams were the last thing anyone on this plane of existence would hear right before the disk evaporated. Sarah gave a small school girl giggle before turning around to find the next soul for her Dark Master.
As Sarah skipped away back south, Argus Quintas could barely understand what he had just seen, this was his first mission under the Golden Hand, Queen Rebecca's personal spy guild, and it was a doozy! He controlled his emotions as the monks of Blind Servants had taught him, and as he heard from the voice of his father through the power of his Shiamika. His mothers voice behind his fathers heard through the mighty artifact urging caution but action from the power he just saw, then nothing as he felt his weapon taken from him. Before he could turn the world had gone dark and he was restrained. Again he exercised control, Amarantha and Aunt Rebecca knew where he was, as well as his guild, this can work out.
"Arise Court Council, Amarantha Quintas, of the noble house Quintas," the Queens voice echoed through the halls of the royal throne room, which was packed with people from all over the kingdom. Zoriah beamed with pride as she looked upon the woman her daughter had become and the world in which she helped create was there to observe her being honored for her wisdom and knowledge. A few would say the only reason Amarantha had even been given the position was because Zoriah was her mother, and the Regeant of Magical Floating City of Crystaldale. The wide known truth was that Amarantha Quintas had a knack for what was needed as an advisor. She took to magic at a young age, and was able, like her mother, to tap into the magics of the realms easily. She also had a hard time accepting bad advise from people and seemed to always speak her mind on such matters, all of which the Queen admired about her. Her friends knew that Amy, as they called her, was probably the best candidate for the job. The Queen finished her speech, "...and give good council." The hall erupted in applause and everyone began to eat and drink. Amy went over to the queens side, as she approached the Queen said, "Amy my dear, this party is for you, you must mingle." With a slight now she said, "I know Your Majesty, I only want to show my appreciation to you first, as is proper to give a good impression to the kingdom." Anyone who was watching close enough could see the Queen beam with pride for only a moment, being in the lives of Zoriahs children had given her a blessing they would never understand. The queen simple pointed to the cleric and paladin standing in the halls with a glance and said, "I am pleased my dear, your friends are waiting for you. Go and enjoy." Amy gave a slight bow and turned toward her friends, jumping into the Arms of Freya Blandersmith. "I'm so happy you two can make it," Amy said, turning to the full Orc Paladin and embracing him as well. "And excited to be witness to the first cleric/paladin team of Djundur since anyone can remember!" Before they got started, a guard came over and whispered in Amy's ear, she only acknowledged him with a nod. She turned to her friends and said, "I think I need you two to join us." As she began to follow the queen to the small room in the rear of the throne room.
As the doors closed behind them, the Queen turned quickly in the group and said, "Zoriah and Amy my dear, I'm sorry to tell you this, but Argus is missing, he did not report in and is considered captured." Before anyone could speak, Amy looked at the Queen and said, "Aunt Rebecca, my brother can be a lot of things, but late would never be one of them. I would ask your leave, with the team from Djundur to go and search for my brother, I am the one with the best chance of finding Argus, and these two are the only persons I can fully trust. If this is just a missed check in, it will be reported, but if it is not, my best chance to find Argus alive is to leave sooner then later." The Queen looked on with some thought as Zoriah stood in the rear half worried for her son and half prideful with the admiration of her daughter, who again shows wisdom beyond her years. The Queen said, "Go you three, and see what you can find!"
