Elves are the longest lived of the races often living well over 700 years. The slender and graceful people love nature and magic, art and artistry, the good things in the world. They believe in diplomacy and compromise more than violence.
They are often called upon to mediate of differences and to teach magic to children. They often trade clothing, arts and magic for stone and metals with friendly Dwarven clans.
Typical Elven thoughts...
"Dwarves": Dwarves are often dull, clumsy oafs. But what they lack in humor, sophistication and manners, they make up in valor.
"Halflings": They are people of simple pleasures and that is not a quality to scorn. They're good folk, they care for each other and have proven themselves tougher then they seem when the need arises.
"Humans": All that haste, their ambition and drive, you have to appreciate their achievements in such a short time.
"Dragonborn": A strong and driven bunch the Dragonborn. You have to respect the drive to be the best one can be. They are a proud bunch that will push themselves farther then any to not fail at something.
"Gnome": The little people with a big smile. They are quick with a joke and are naturals with their illusions.
"Half-Elf": Much like their Human parents their curiosity and ambition often finds trouble. Not fully fitting into either society they are often alone or form their own communities as it should be.
"Half-Orc": A Half-Orc will never have a place in a Elven home, even with the best of intentions it would be foolish to trust one with your life.
"Tiefling": Though their heritage comes from devils themselves, there are many that the heritage is only skin deep and their hearts are far from devils.
